1. -92K is a drop in a bucket. It's not what moves the needle for anything here, except looking at the trends. Revisions are the big swings now and those are not something the market likes -- which is why many are calling for a quarterly or even bi annual releases.
2. International Tourism in the US is not that big. Total international visits were expected to fall from 72.4 million (2024) to about 67.9 million (2025). https://www.ustravel.org/press/us-travel-forecast-2025-modes... So visitors to the U.S. dropped about 6% in 2025. I've seen some crazy numbers in this chat. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/fewer-foreigners-visited-us...
More than 1.5 billion tourists spent $11.7 trillion on hotels, cruises and flights last year, according to the data from the World Travel and Tourism Council.
A fall of $12.5 billion is a lot but not something that will alter anything significant.
The majority of the people that are declining to travel to US are Example drops recorded:
Germany: ↓ 28% Spain: ↓ 25% UK: ↓ 18% Canada: ↓ 17% https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tourism_in_the_United_States
3. Some states and some countries are going the opposite (Argentina, Israel, two examples). https://skift.com/2025/12/29/us-international-travel-which-s...
4 .There is an offset by Americans traveling inside the US as well. https://www.thetravel.com/how-and-why-us-international-touri...
Overall, this is a small macro impact.

I was skeptical that this would work (I still am), but I would love for this to be the trend and welcome it. My most considerable curiosity is we're talking 9 dollars. Were the people who opted out of driving in on the fence due to this breaking their bank?

I believe it was 1989 when Dominos came to Staten Island, NY, for the first time. They opened up in Old Town and the entire staff was migrated from GA. They used pickup trucks with Dominos colors and started hiring drivers.
I was one of them, and the policy sucked ass. There was zero incentive for us to beat 30 minutes, and when we did, the customer was always UNHAPPY that we got there on time and would not get any discounts. The tip always sucked when we beat the clock.
When we didn't beat the clock, we got a decent tip. Our manager was an old fart from GA, and while he didn't say anything to promote speeding, he didn't say anything about not beating the clock. After a few accidents in other shops, the whole thing was trashed, which is when the quality of the driver and tips improved significantly. I also don't recall that it was less busy when the policy was removed. All in all, I don't think anyone liked this policy.

My experience of the hospice system is the opposite of yours. My dad was 73, passed away from cancer that took him way too soon as he was more active than people half his age. He swam, ran, worked out everyday. Was one of the most positive people in the world.
The hospice people were absolute angels as to how they handled him and his last months. Truly the most compassionate people work in these places and it was good to have at least that in his dying days.
I am sorry for your loss and the experience you've had with your dad.

After reading Carl Sagan, the disk he sent (here we are, find us here!) it was a sobering 'what-if'.
It was a brutality of the actions that left a lingering impression on me. Darwin books were equally fantastic for different reasons.
