I never understood why someone hasn't made a framework that makes it stupidly easy to fill an HTML page with SQLite database tables, with all the usual display controls, and with as much "liveness" as desired, and with a protocol (over HTTPS) to manage comms to a server-side instance. SQLite is robust, lightweight, bulletproof - a WASM build belongs on ALL the webpages !

I wonder if there is hope for clearing ice off asphalt and concrete. It's a real problem in Scando, where temps can hover around freezing longtime, for repeated thaw/freeze cycles.

Thanks for the reply. What I'm getting from numerous HN discussions is that 8GB is a hopeless case (and the money I saved on RAM should be spent on non-local coding assist).

I'm not sure it's fair to tar socialism with a Stalinist brush.

My own interest would be in finding out how management incentives can be made to work in a socialist scheme of ownership, so that management is on the ball - and not building empires at the expense of the underlying society.

Not 13 but 13 mini, and it was fine until iOS 26. The symptoms lessened in 26.4 and now seem to be gone. So maybe the "mini" display factor was not sufficiently tested before iOS 26 was released and... it ran into snags (to put it diplomatically).

It was srsly crazy stuff. Screen freeze for a minute, for two minutes, while the battery gets hot enough to cook an egg.

A gazillion-dollar company not throughly testing their software - who'da thunk it ?

AIUI the problem has been the USN making absolutely huge noises and the relevance being that the noises carry very long distances, affecting wide areas of habitat.

Liquid Glass made my 13 mini consistently lock up and overheat. Multiple reboots every day. Ludicrously slow screen repaints. It only stopped with the latest version (26.5).
