Well, that was a rabbithole. I learned that (BME - Bolsa y Mercados Espanoles - Spanish stock market) is owned by a Swiss company. It blows my mind that countries sell off such important infrastructure, even if in this case to a friendly country.

This idea has an obvious problem. It's a lot of hard work. How many people are going to be diligent in planting canaries etc? And if you are, can you be diligent for the next 1, 2, 3 decades? That's a lot of time spent on this.
You know what would be better? If every bank provided as a service/feature the ability to create single-use (and single-merchant!) debit cards. Revolut can do it, why can't huge banks do it as well? (BTW if you know one that does, let me know.)

The supervisor is responding to the BS he's being told. OP isn't telling the supervisor "I have emotional problems that lead me to procrastinate as an avoidance mechanism". He's telling him something like "oh yeah I'm totally making progress with task X you gave me, I just didn't finish it because I went into task Y and made progress there instead".

Ok since everyone here is a fan of metric, can we also do away with imperial time? What is this nonsense, 1 minute has 60 seconds, but all of a sudden a day has 24 hours and a week 7 days? Why the arbitrary ratios?
Compare to how 1 metric minutes is 10 metric seconds, 1 metric hour is 10 metric minutes, one metric day is 10 metric hours, one week is 10 metric days. How many metric seconds are there in one metric week? Well 10000 metric seconds, or 10 kiloseconds, of course. See how the conversions are so much easier in the metric system?

These fanboy people are disturbing. I recently met an apple fanboy for the first time and it's unbelievable the mental gymnastics he used to explain how everything apple does is amazing. This is even though his his iphone, which is only 3 years old, is sluggish as shit. Thats not a problem according to him, because it's an intentional design decision by apple.
Some people pick a brand and it becomes their identity.

Oh, you want to gamify managing your money?
1- Install GnuCash.
2- Import your checking account into it.
3- Another account will automatically be created called "imbalance" with the opposite balance. The goal of the game is to manipulate other accounts so that the imbalance account eventually reaches 0.
4- did you have fun and want to keep playing? Import more accounts. Your credit card account, your mortgage account, your brokerage account, etc.
5- You can play in different difficulties. Do you have a tax account? Is it broken down into federal and state taxes? If so, does it match what the state/IRS thinks you paid?
Keep doing this and you'll become as good as any accountant.
Did you enjoy the game? Support the developers at gnucash.org/donate.phtml (no affiliation, just a happy gamer)
