It will never stop at $50M. Once the law is created it is sooo much easier to just lower the threshold. Even if not lowered, in 30 years inflation means it will capture a whole different number of people - maybe you. Maybe it will bankrupt your children.

The US already claims jurisdiction on all launches from US and NZ (Rocket Lab). Every one of these had to get approval from the US to launch.

I would frame it more that AI will cause the value of knowledge to plummet.

College provides knowledge but never provided expertise. That comes from experience in the real world. Capturable value has always been in the application of knowledge.

Experience will possibly become more valuable as a pipeline of people stop entering many industries. Some of that will be very industry specific in terms of market forces and has still to play out.

Because Amazon is not really a web store - that's the "easy" bit. Amazon is really a logistics company.

It took something like 20 years of insane investment and no shareholder returns to build this out in the US.

No the Enterprise Cloud is just the same GitHub.com with the same shitty reliability.

However the newer Enterprise Cloud with Residency (aka on Azure) is a separate partition and has a different reliability domain (still subject to Azures bad reliability so not an entirely compelling offer). This is what you linked.

The underlying reason is more that by being in us east coast you have about equal latency for customers in us west coast and Europe. That's a very large population covered from a single site.

If you're building a single datacenter site this is where you start building first.
