your enthusiasm for the service might be justified but having every mention of its name be a hyperlink with referral code feels offputting like i'm about to enter a multi-level marketing scheme

While I had to, I enjoyed using WSL1 on Windows. It was disappointing to find WSL2 has no user upside; it just discards the benefits of WSL1 in favor of the simpler implementation.
Shame for all of the people who worked hard on WSL1 only to be virtualized into nonexistence.

I appreciate that it's on a separate plan so that I don't have to interface with it.

Maybe you misinterpreted the intent of the article - isn't the purpose of it to point out absurdities and fundamental flaws in the uniquely American polygraph obsession?

The amount of service developers receive for hosting their game on Steam seems underappreciated. For their 30% cut they provide content delivery, news publication, networking services (for multiplayer), forums, Steam Workshop (for hosting and sharing mods and addons), and management and trading of in-game items. Is it worth the 30% cut? That's not up to me, but at least they're not just hosting your 25mb .apk file like the Play store et al.

So happy to see this here! I used to play this a lot with my boyfriend - we were pretty evenly matched, and the game allowed for so much freedom which made every game wild. The most impressive feature is - in my opinion - the wide variety of commands you can provide to your units and how their AI interacts with them. For example, if you build a crowd of fast and agile grunts and make them match speed with a slower tank, they will still avoid enemy projectiles with their superior speed.

Now this is the killer feature a search engine needs. Next, what about a feature to invert the goggles? For example, if I wanted to invert the "no Pinterest" rule to get only Pinterest results.
I don't really have any good use cases for this but it'd be funny, to me at least.
