> it's a testament to the divine inspiration of Scripture that Christians and Jews have never relied on an absolutely letter-for-letter standardized text to know the voice of their Shepherd.
LOL.
your argument is that two cults using a common religious reference is evidence that it's valid?
That is not logical.

There are thousands of pairs of source-executable pairs that could be used for training, and the compiler is a parameter that AI can easily identify and account for as a heavily weighted factor.
So why isn't there (or maybe there is and I don't know about it) an AI based decompiler that can take almost any machine code, and transform it into highly readable source code (complete with meaningful guesses for variable names and comments)? It seems like it should be even easier when the executable could be run and inspected at runtime by the AI model.
What is the state of the art with AI decompilation, and are there tools I can play with today?

There is no need to apologize for building a fantastic tool that was ahead of its time.
But "abandoned" in this contexts makes it sound like it's dead. Even if it's factually correct that the original (very busy) author stepped away and it is literally/factually true that you "abandoned it", it is also fairly misleading.
I disfavor maligning open source projects based on a misleading framing.

> The situation is obviously more complex than any of us know, and I'd encourage everyone to be a bit more positive and supportive of a fellow founder and builder.
What is your basis for this claim? His actions and behavior are publicly visible, and I can't even imagine a hidden context that would justify how he has acted.

You are also characterizing another project that was open-sourced (sandstorm) and is under active development as "long abandoned". Open source is difficult and requires a fair amount of cheerleading to engage users and make them part of the community. As a result it's hard to see your project in a positive light.

your intuition is correct: in the Eatery link from the article that's explicitly stated. And honestly I don't blame him. He got screwed.
> Ngo feels that he ran a good business, and the government unfairly barred him from operating. In his view, if the government wouldn’t allow him to sell the product, they could handle the disposal. Ngo paid off his debts before leaving, and feels the matter is settled. Although prior coverage of the factory closure portrayed Ngo as a ghost who absconded his duties, he doesn’t feel that way. To this day he spends half of the year in Canada, though not often in St. Mary’s. “The community is still very good to me,” he says. “When I go there I see my failure; that’s the reason I don’t want to go there.”

It's literally the third paragraph:
> Deploying a Python inference stack means resolving a dependency tree at install time, on the target machine, against whatever CUDA and glibc that machine has. Deploying a ggml port means copying a shared library and a GGUF file.

FTA:
Known simply as 'Green Boots' because of his distinctive bright green mountaineering footwear still protruding from the snow and ice, the remains have now been identified as Indian climber Dorje Morup, 47.
For decades, many mountaineers believed the body belonged to fellow Indian climber Tsewang Paljor, 28. The DNA comparison has now ended that long-running mystery.
The identification was confirmed by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) ahead of a bid to recover the body from Everest's notorious 'death zone' at an altitude of more than 8,000 metres.
