As a hispanic/latino... we are already pretty mixed as it is.

If I was to take a guess is because of our (usually) strong bonds with family and friends. And somehow that helps with stress.

I am not so sure that is the reason for WhatsApp crazy validation. I feel that the reason for that was that it represented a danger for Facebook and Mark wisely acquired at any cost.

WhatsApp is big outside of the US because (at least in Panama, were I was born) text messages are not included in the mobile phone plan; however, you can get a data plan for a monthly fee and keep in contact without additional charges. In the US most people use text messages to communicate.

Maybe he can edit his resume/CV and remove the date from items that would hint toward his age. This way the companies might give him the chance to show his experience in Django during an interview.

How about remote work within the European Union? I am in the US so I am not familiar with how common that is in Europe.

I wonder how effective something like Kick Starter would be if it was applied to lobbyists? I mean, at some point it was supposed to be that whoever got elected represented the people. But now it is obvious that the elected just represent who ever gave them the largest amount of money. Could crowd Funding compete with big Co. and wealthy individuals?

Yes, the idealist in me wants to believe the system can be changed. But I am getting close to 30 and I haven't bought any new Bad Religion CD/MP3 since I was 22 to fuel the idealist in me.

I agree with your view on what the funds collected by Kickstarter are. It's fairly easy operation when dealing with the Arts, as in "I am donating to an artist that I like". But once a product comes into the mix... that's a whole different game.

I feel that the system used by quirky.com is more conductive to a real world product.

I usually work from 8-5, go to the gym for half to an hour. Meditate for 15 minutes and put at least one hour into one of my projects.

The amount of time I put into my personal projects depend on if there is any complex problems going on, I am just starting one or it's in maintenance mode. But I always try to put at least one hour into them. I was hard to actually find time for all of those things, but I finally managed to find a balance.

I must mentioned that as a big soccer/futbol fan the fact that all mayor leagues are in off-season has boosted my productivity.

I just wanted to add that at no point does the article mentions that he collapsed. Looks like he suffered an increase in blood pressure and decided to call it of. A doctor was contacted and he was able to walk away by his own means.

You forget that there is another sub-set of people: the ones that just graduated and currently don't have a job. I think that for a recent college graduate the whole temp thing would sound to bad. Now, if you already have a job, then I believe you are more likely to play the whole hiring process game. When I was trying to get that first job, I absolutely hated the HR games. Now that I have a job, I know that I would be more indifferent to the whole random bs questions.

It is more about self-help that anything else, and the people who swear by it use it as an argument of why it is such a crappy personal finance book. But then they promote it as a personal finance book. Nice loop there.
