We need more C11 and C23 compilers.

We need more betterC compilers, we have one (five if you count C3, ZenC, SafeC and Zig but they are not betterC)

And we need more assemblers.

You can write C style C++ and enjoy the same benefits.

In Twitter a user explained me that it is common in embedded space.

You do not need the OOP, RTTI, exceptions.

Like C with most use cases of preprocessor replaced by generic programming.

Null terminated strings have some merits but they should be a completely different data type like in Freebasic.

Why not just writing inline assembly is not enough?

You optimize for a specific target.

The problem is that you cannot be cross-platform. Sure.

But that is why software is incremental.

I write for my HW, not yours. You can write for yours.

Make folders with implemntations

x86_v1 x86_v2 arm64 riscv64 ... ... ...

Is there any updated list of all these devices? They should be my next one. These are not available in Greece and the one it is is 1720 Euros. Big ouch!!!

It is unfortunate that Rapsberry Pi 5 got that expensive because I wanted a Keyboard 500+ just for running some Foss Android Distribution (not a phone replacement)
