i had a look at yattee, but it looks like there is only the possibility to sideload it to ios devices, which you would have to do every 7 days, or am I missing something? The repos is unfortunately very sparse with installation instructions

GmbH & Co KG are not that common, in fact the overwhelming majorities are GmbH, UG or AG (public corporation). The only benefit you can get out of this shell structure is that you don‘t have to disclose investors publicly

The last paragraph is very important to the story. His setup is essentially a shell company which add complexity. Setting up a UG is very easy, needs little capital and is especially created for one-person-companies. Additionally he is able to send invoices, just not internationally. I have a feeling setting up this corporate structure and registering it internationally would also not be done instantly in other countries.

It's sometimes very telling when other people think of you and your country. While I do agree we in Europe have sometimes too many rules, but I just can't understand the American obsession with freedom and being able to do things to the detriment of society

Why is there so much talk about privacy here? The DMA is an antitrust framework,the privacy argument is just the Apple spin of their refusal to comply

This is mostly wrong. The DMA has a process to determine if a service provider acts a gatekeeper to the market, and let's be honest if Apple is not one, then I don't know who else besides Google.. So there is no privacy argument in there except Apple didn't want to design a interface that complies and is safe.

To build on this analogy, tug of war fits a bit better. Nothing dramatic happens if one person let go, but if half of one team just let loose at the same time without communication, bad things happen.

You can buy their Products. Afaik if you buy i.e. Firefox relay the revenue does not go to the foundation.

Edit: I just checked the Invoice, payment goes indeed to Mozilla Corporation, not the foundation.

That would be an unlikely scenario. No one would just sell their ID just like that because you have to go to the police to make a report on what happened exactly which then gets distributed in whole Europe and also getting a new ID is quite a procedure and costly unfortunately
