Hey there, full time software engineer of around 6 years here (post-grad). I’m using Claude Code half of the day now at work, I just can’t keep up with my team if I were to stop coding with AI. I’m more “productive” but my brain feels less sharp and am curious how others are staying sharp, I guess I just need to allocate time to learning new things again but wondering how others are dealing with this. Thanks!

Thank you for sharing, I'm familiar with ISO 15118 but did not hear about that initiative with the OEMs / JOET, that's a step in the right direction... I'm skeptical however, a vast majority of the existing L2 and DCFC chargers in the US are not compatible with ISO 15118 so you'd need to replace all of those (150k+) chargers since you need both the firmware of the charger and the vehicle to implement that standard, it's super complex

Hi HN,

Long time reader, first time poster. The EV charging infrastructure in the US is quite a mess (unlike the EU), where we have very few roaming options and the apps suck to use. Have been spending the past year building a native Swift app which lets you charge with over 7 networks, and it's really easy to use. I've seen a lot of threads on HN on this topic so thought I'd share it here :)

I made a web app for the time being, which lets you start a charge from our web app on mobile, but the MapKit JS library from Apple is very meh / slow and in the process of switching it out... https://portacharging.com Any feedback is super appreciated! Well, $.60/box goes to that specific troop (15%) but $2.50/box (50%) goes to that local troop’s organization, so in my area that would be the Northern California’s Girlscout Organization

I remember George Hotz stating in an interview a year ago that he was going to be a billionaire by the end of 2016. He has quite the ego, there's tons of OBD-II adapters that have been around for a while and many successful Kickstarter campaigns launching better OBD-II adapters.
