Isn't compiling and then immediately running the code exactly what a just in time compiler is? Or do I have a misunderstanding of the term?

I think his attitude of quality and direct feedback is good and definitely contributed to the success of his projects.

But even so, why can't we still call him out on his callous and offense delivery? There are better ways of saying what he said in his post.

You don't have to be an asshole to be direct. You can still be respectful.

I'm interested in chatbots for learning foreign languages. In that scenario I really don't care how dumb the conversation is, just that it's grammatically correct.

Does anybody know of such a service?

This would be a terrible study to try to ascertain the impact of the internet on mental health. You would be comparing two populations who are completely different in many many ways.

This is great advice, I often use programming to distract myself from some pain or other. It can be a useful tool but can also become a long-term avoidance which isn't healthy.

There are a couple of language features in Python that I thought were cool when I discovered them, but actually have never ever find a need for them in my code. The first is using an "else" clause in a "for" loop, and the second is returning a value from a generator. Curious whether anybody actually uses either of those.
