Also, thanks a lot for building this utility. I've typically used mac's builtin "Preview" app to do some basic PDF operations like deleting some pages and merging two pdfs, but doing so on windows required using some sketchy websites.

Now, that's a re-writing of history if I've ever seen one.

Sounds like sarcasm to me.

That's a good point, its pretty easy to forget BEAM's heritage from the telecom world. The defaults on the VM are for that use-case, I'm so used to thinking of everything from a web perspective that I didn't even consider this, despite knowing of its history.

TLDR: BEAM VM uses busy waiting under the hood to achieve fast response time when dealing with requests. you can disable it by setting a few options in the VM.

Edit: Interesting thing here is that there's no significant latency difference when toggling busy/wait, so not sure why that's the default.

It's weird how there's even a large enough market for all of these in the first place.

I pretty much agree with everything you said, aside from this. I think retros are pretty good where the team can come together and say why certain tasks too long and figure out solutions to those. But rest of the scrum stuff is pretty garbage, especially cross team demos.
