And their engineering culture is... odd. They hire senior people and then let them all fuck sound aimlessly. I believe the opposite -- people fundamentally want to help each other, and we've structurally set up our society to force people out of that mode and into a competitive mode. Read "A Paradise Built in Hell", when push comes to shove, communities care for each other.

If we covered everyone's basic food, housing, education, and medical needs, I guarantee you'd see crime and addiction plummet.

Do you feel this way about apps that gather information about you? "It says it has no tracking cookies.." Or apps that sell your email address? What if I claimed my product was vegetarian?

This is very much not settled, and very much depending on your market. Selling games to gen-z? Yeah, they are going to care a lot.

The Dems are excited to move .01% further than they ever have before and call it "consequential". Dems are the party of "we won't say gay marriage is good, but we'll offer domestic partnerships... in some states" as if it's some grand gesture.

The party needs to wake up, stop accepting these garbage barons, and starting building policies that inspire people.

So here's your why: because they asked you to and you are better at it than they are. If you need smug superiority, you could use that too, I guess.

People change their names and nick names all the time. I don't go and check every value of theirs before I use their new name. It's really not that complicated.
