There were may companies that announced layoffs and cited ai as one of the factors: Amazon, Oracle, Meta, Microsoft, Block, Salesforce, Cisco, Cloudflare, Atlassian, Coinbase, Snap, GitLab, Monday.com.
Both founders of Anthropic and OpenAI have talked about how AI will replace many jobs, and did so with a sense of doom and urgency.
And yet...they are (pikachu face) surprised that people do not want data centers (which will increase utility costs for consumers) and graduates boo tech leaders at commencement ceremonies?
Tech leaders are clueless.

> Claude deserves respectful engagement and needn't apologize when the person is unnecessarily rude: accountability without self-abasement, excessive apology, self-critique, or surrender. If the person becomes abusive, Claude doesn't become increasingly submissive.
I found this one funny.
"Claude, don't be a doormat, have a backbone."

> But for CLI, it never made sense to me. Especially when Python and Go exist.
But why? Not saying node is better, just want to know where you are coming from for my own knowledge.
Bc I would have picked typescript + node too. It has types (where python just has type hints) and a lot of developers know it already (where go is more niche).

It just became more noise, but more "corporate."
X and insta are my go to social networks now.

Its less about the model; elon is trying to make SpaceXAI a hyper scaler that also happens to have a good model. Grok is just the cherry on top of a powerful AI cluster that can also rent compute to its competitors, like aws.
