I rocked the IIe but wanted a IIgs like no other. I'd 'visit' it at our local 'Apple store' before the Apple store (It was Tokamac in Palo Alto if I remember correctly and I may not). I also collected an Amiga A500 and an Atari 1040st. Love. Those. Times.

Very good story that is well written. Interesting path that Kitna decided on when he could have gone one thousand other ways that were far easier. I am certain I would not have made the same type of choice. Once again, great article.

Very well written piece that reminded just what the article intended. It amazed me that the Occupy 'movement' has already faded into the echoes of our society; that is my take and reality since I was not there nor directly involved. Once again, this was an excellent retelling and I for one appreciate it.

Indeed. XP and IE6 are tired in the enterprise but, they are paid for, they work and apparently, we fear change. Those are the big three that I hear on a weekly basis from management. At this point, if Windows 8 was super enterprise friendly and completely free, we still wouldn't budge I am sure.

That is where my thoughts are as well - business customers make a large mind share that I cannot imagine that they would ignore. I am hoping that Windows 8 as it is right now is the foundation for a more enterprise friendly set up. Please notice 'hoping' - I am equally prepared to not be surprised if this is it so to speak. Can't imagine that but hey, stranger things have happened.

I have been curious as to why there were not more Skylanders type hardware games in existence? Not sure I would choose NFC as the link though it will be interesting to see and hopefully lead to others. NFC table top gaming could be a thing. NFC enabled mech with a little AR sprinkled on top? Please?

My idea of non-distracted driving is fairly simple - just driving and that is all. A 'old timey' roadster with no radio even would be interesting. Just driving.

Great write down with lots of good ideas. I too use a notebook to jot down whatever enters my mind. Tried evernote for the same purpose but it didn't stick as well as pen and paper. I also include trying new and different things that are outside my norm; that takes some serious effort sometimes.
