ok, but Carney has always said it's better than being continually threatened and betrayed by Americans. He's right. I agree that it'll be hard to be beneficial to the EU and Canada, will take decades, but the cost of doing nothing is higher. And people are forgetting this isn't just economic but there's security aspects as well.

This another way to say it's "played out". the thing is, whatever feels meh now is the next California, so it's never obvious. it starts small and gain momentum and network effects like a snowball rolling down a hill, with a chance or chances of getting stuck.

absolutely no shame, it's good engineering. it's not even about homogeneity, it's about recognizability and lowering cognitive load for your users who, let's face it, don't give a fuck about how hard you worked on the UI they just want to do what they need and return their attention to the 99% of stuff that is not-your-app. That's their normal.

i never said everyone with opposing political views has them out of racism, i'm saying it just plays well. Way too many of the white voting share went to the eating cats and dog racism that we saw play out. Cuz it works. That is america.
