Yet Altman and Amadeo are talking how AI can kill us. So either it solves some problems it creates or kills off humanity... This is a gambling addict level rationalisation of betting your house to win it all at once.

There is no hysteria. We don't want to subsidise your lifestyle and to have pollution you produce dumped in our rural parts. We don't want it and it does not benefit us. Have all datacenters you want in your backyard.

> In reality that kind of stuff doesn't really bother employees
Yes it does
>they knew it going in
No. Nor civil employees nor service workers go to work expecting to be abused.
You sound very much like a person who likes to verbally abuse those you deem beneath you

No, no we don't. Nor do we want to get involved in a civil war in Middle East on behalf of Trumps, Saudis, and Israelis.

Holy fuck, didn't expect reply from the man himself. First thank you for Open pilot, it's truly an amazing project, I've been user since 2019. Second, comment re Ford was not to criticise you but to underscore that Comma and you personally take safety very seriously.

Your argument went from "cute GitHub project has no safety" to "I get money if tesla maims me".
I must ask you again, if Tesla, an example of your choosing, works with regulators and has every change certified and reviewed then how did they fail basic safety check?

Comma is anal about safety. Few years ago they went as far as to ban anyone tinkering with Ford trucks/vans via park assist commands since those had unlimited steeeing torque/angle (and speed spoofing).

You have an auto industry lawyer on retainer to ask hypotheticals on Sunday evening?
First answer your own question (and ask lawyer while you at it), is every changed pushed by Tesla reviewed by EU/CA/US regulators? And then explain to me how your Tesla still allowed driver to fall asleep. FYI that was not a singular accident.

You aren't going to like answer but yes, there are firmware safety checks + CAN checksums. And driver facing camera tracking your attention so you aren't asleep behind the wheel. Something that your Tesla apparently failed to consider https://driving.ca/auto-news/crashes/sleeping-tesla-driver-r...
Your attitude reminds me of how Microsoft fans talked down Linux and GNU; blah blah open source can never be as good/secure/stable as our billion-dollar commercial product because money/certificate

There have been dozens of fatalities due to Tesla self driving tech. As far as I know there haven't been any fatalities due to Comma tech.

I still use old comma branch running with OnePlus phone on Subaru. It works really really well, even on snowy northern roads. The code, from firmware C to python is very well written as well, makes it easy to tune it to your driving habits.
