This was always such a hollow argument... where are they going to leave? Some tax heaven like Panama or Cayman Islands? South America? Are they trying to get kidnapped for ransom? These people are not going to leave, because outside of 1st world countries they will get eaten alive.

The problem is control of the network. If you don't control your network, then you don't know if network provider will go from "unlimited data" to "I am changing the deal now it is 1USD/GB" and you can either take it or be without connection which would likely collapse your operations. So the only logical step is to use network which you have full control over, like WiFi.

The much higher speed also does not hold together when you will look at it. When you have a device which is generating or processing a lot of data (GB/s ~ TB/s) such device needs substantial computational power to pull it off, so it is likely a stationary device connected to 230V. So why won't you drag a fiber there?

It did not took off because the whole sales pitch was utter nonsense. Why would anyone put 3rd party 5G BTS inside their buildings and then pay for data, when they can use WiFi for free + they control the network so they can decide how data are shared between stations and which stations are allowed to be logged in.

I can see that 6G is pitching... exactly same thing. Which predictably is going to fail... on exactly same issue.

Unlikely. 5G hit the wall on UWB (Ultra Wide Band; 10-100GHz) because geniuses who were doing marketing for its transfer speeds did not realized that such high frequencies are disrupted with minimal amount conductive material in the air - so surprise surprise, 5G UWB does not work when you are behind a wall, it does not work when your big head full of water is in the way of BTS and most perplexing for common folk, it does not work behind a glass because regular glass is full of iron - so forget on 5G UWB on a train, tram or bus, unless somebody put mini BTS inside the vehicle.

So 5G for most folks is just marginally better LTE and that's about it. Any higher frequencies like 6G (30GHZ~3THz) or 7G (???) won't achieve much of anything outside of laboratory, because they will hit exactly same walls like 5G UWB.

It is lose-lose situation for everybody.

Nobody in EU, USA or China is interested in Russia winning the war because that would embolden them to further expand east to Moldova and Baltics.

And nobody in EU, USA or China is interested in Russia losing the war because that could turn into fracturing of Russia and civil war inside Russia with nukes.

Putin got Russia into impossible situation which will end badly either way.

It is perplexing isn't it? Second best army in the world is struggling to make a headway for last 4 years on a much smaller neighbor. The difference between Russian propaganda and reality on the battlefield is so vast that every threat from Russia towards other neighbors rings more hollow every month.

1. Considering how much of a swing is expected it is a statistical error

2. You have to register to vote, so you have already proven that you are a citizen, thus the whole theater with ICE is double irrelevant.

I think that was a mistake and they should have form coalition with AfD and let them try to fulfil their promises to their voters. After delivering either little or dead on arrival laws they would be effectively self-defused.

As a European, I am not worried at all. AfD promises are a complete nonsense which will make everything in Germany worse (Leaving Euro, EU) or require cooperation of other countries (Deportations) so they will either not even try or try and fail. Then after 4-5 years of barking achieve nothing and will get voted out.

I think it should not be a big deal to build datacenters in desert states like Arizona, Nevada or all the way in Alaska. Building of datacenters was actually one of the reasons why USA wanted/wants to have Greenland.
