Honestly, public forums, stackexchange, etc also have a huge benefit over something like discord/gitter/slack, in that previously asked questions are indexed by Google -- which is often the first recourse of someone trying to figure something out. If the discussion is sequestered behind an authentication gate, it can't help other folks out down the road.

As someone who has been active with the WordPress community for about fifteen years now, the early documentation and Codex's robust documentation and easy on-ramp for new developers always struck me as one of the main reasons for WordPress's growth over the years. In the early days of the late-aughts, when Joomla, Drupal, and WordPress were all pretty similar in terms of install base, WordPress was just simpler to start with and become familiar due to its abundant documentation.

What information do you feel can be communicated and understood with that moniker that is not served by Autism Spectrum? And why do you feel those distinctions (if any) merit a wholly distinct diagnosis?

Yes hi, "aspergers" is an unfortunate nomenclature and many autistic folks (myself included) strongly resent it. It was named after a Nazi doctor (Hans Asperger) and used to classify autistic folks into "useful" and "non-useful" people -- as Nazis and Eugenicists are known to do. When you think of it, if you could refer to folks on the spectrum as such, without referencing the outdated nomenclature (the DSM-5 replaced it for diagnostics, now everything falls under the Autism Spectrum, rather than viewing the "higher functioning" folks as having a distinct diagnosis)
Thanks!

For context, a8c started using a prior version of p2 like eleven or twelve years ago, when we were positively dozens of people. We have smaller p2s for teams of three to four people.
tl;dr: nah, doesn't need thousands of people to be useful.

You're using the same word -- Justice -- to mean two things.
The court means justice as a violation of the law.
You mean it as a violation of your opinion of what is right and wrong.
Whether your like it or not, Roe v Wade, and Doe v Bolton are the settled court cases, and legal justice is what flows from that. Calling what is legal "unjust" because you disagree with it further reinforces the need for this decision.

I have no idea precisely what we're going to do or how, but if I were spitballing, I'd think something like ...
Currently I think Tumblr stores all posts across all sites in one big table? WP.com does different tables per site.
I also think Tumblr's post ids are often above php's int max for 32-bit systems ( 2,147,483,647 ) -- I know I've seen some issues trying to parse tumblr's post ids to integers rather than strings on some old servers years ago.
For an overview of how our systems are run here's Barry, our head sysadmin, talking about six years ago on how the wpcom infastructure is structured:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57EJ8KDDBH0
It's changed somewhat, but not much conceptually. It's a really fascinating talk and I'd encourage anyone curious on massive scale data to give it a look, and see precisely what can be managed with determination and mysql and coffee.
