I’d separate two questions here: whether the article’s evidence is representative, and whether the conduct it describes would be tolerated from a smaller company or an individual.

Nice to see jemalloc active again. The long-term health of the upstream project is probably just as important as the allocator improvements themselves.

The long delay is the interesting part to me. How do they distinguish earthquakes triggered by the test from normal background seismicity?

Quick Tunnels look great for demos and temporary dev environments. I’d still be hesitant to make them part of a long-lived production setup.
