For example scaling, cropping, changing colors, effects. All this stuff can benefit from vectorized operations (on CPU or GPU).

It was quite fun, and also quite self contained and manageable.

The library sqrt handles all kinds of edge-cases which prevent the compiler from autovectorizing it.

Since it was a profitable broker business, another bigger broker gave them the money to plug the loss in exchange for taking over the business.
