More sedetary life. Before most people worked in physically active jobs and past times tended to be more active too. If you work in an office and watch TV when you get home, your energy use is obviously smaller than working in a field for 12 hours.
Apparently more sedetary life does not effect the apetite of most people.

I'm qurious what that code was doing that could be just moved to the backend. Usually forms have some validation for a better experience with the final validation on the server. Did you get rid of that and just show an error if the submission failed?

The article reads like all the little annoyances is what is wrong when the doc is expected to work almost 24/7 for days on end. No amount of software improvement will make any realistic improvements.
It's insane that a truck driver _must_ have 8 hours of sleep before work (they should, not arguing against it), but a surgeon can work with a couple of naps for days.

IntelliJ also has "full line completion" built in that uses a local model. I've found it rather good and it's the only in-IDE code generation I use. It does not get in the way and usually gives me exactly what I want.
https://www.jetbrains.com/help/idea/full-line-code-completio...

Having two almost identical terms that mean completely different things is not a very good idea. Also here you are explaining what the words mean, when "login" and "permission" are immediately obvious. Most people don't speak english natively either.
