No, it's the other way around. Humans will continue the trend of interacting with "the world" less and less, and thus become more like the LLMs themselves. They won't get smarter; we will get stupider and meet them in the middle. You can already see this happening.

one thing we did on the C64 in this vein (I was a bad kid) was to send opcodes to the CPU on the 1541 floppy drive to send the head to a nonexistent track. This would sometimes jam the head and require physical repair of the drive.

I never really understood this. I work for a small contracting shop, and we definitely give a shit, because our reputation is on the line. Without our excellent reputation we wouldn't keep getting work. How do the big contracting firms get away with it? It seems like everyone knows they're awful, except the people who give them billions of dollars.
