New comment by gnabgib in "Lobste.rs Deactivates "Vibecoding" Tag"

gnabgib — Mon, 19 Oct 2026 04:39:46 +0000

Title: Updates to site guidelines and AI/LLM tags

> don't editorialize

https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html

First topic: we no longer allow submissions which are code repositories

First and a half topic (lobs mistake): We're listing "careers" as off-topic to try to head off posts about interviewing, promotions, burnout, and farming.

Third: The second adjustment is that the vibecoding tag is now marked as inactive.

If "they've used".. then it's not a Show HN. Title would need to be less clickbait... original title would give them: Show HN: MeetCap

- Pork buns aren't only Chinese

- Pork bun (the food) isn't always too much dough (significantly supplier dependent, you've apparently not had good ones - yelp is for this)

- Jokers in card games aren't positive, they're wild
