I did this exact thing for a client last week. No need for another computer I just downloaded the installer from the app store and run it as normal. Maybe they have tweaked things.

From memory, the error message it gives says this is what you do. Though I've long since accepted that no one ever reads what the message says.

I've transferred a load of customers from Intel mac's to M1's with no issues at all. I suspect they were just unlucky.
There are a few ways of telling which ones of your apps are native too: https://www.macrumors.com/how-to/tell-apps-optimized-for-m1-...

The nomex suits they all wear only are designed for 20seconds in fire. (The gloves and shoes/socks are only 10secs hence his burns there).
He was out of the car within 18seconds.
I highly doubt if he had been stuck in or knocked out they would have been put the fire out in less than a few seconds more. They only had one person with the right fire extinguishers there at the time. The rest all add ones for smaller fires.
I don't know how long it took them to put it out, but all the drivers could still see the fire driving back to the pits so probably a minute or so.
In short of the many things that save Romain sunday, being able to get himself out was probably the key one.

There are only a few bolts holding the back end onto the safety cell. It's designed to detach in a really big crash so that it doesn't impact on the safety cell if possible.

Why does apple have to deliver its service to a 3rd party at cost price? It can charge what it likes. If they charged 60% and all app developers moved over to google the market would soon follow or Apple would change.
The cost of the service for Apple is irrelevant in this court case.

Nest had a huge investment from google already, so I doubt they were keen to sell to Apple.
Add to that Tony Fadell's history with Apple may have also made that deal tricky.
Given the shocking state of nest these days I think Apple dodged a bullet on that too.

It was a simple choice for me, much better screen and high specs generally without a huge compromise on cost or weight.
I went from an 11in Macbook Air to the 13 MBP retina and I've not regretted it once. I carry my laptop around all day and I've not noticed the extra weight.

I suspect there is a lot more to this story. Councils tend to avoid going down this route unless there are no other options left to them. Mainly because doing something like this costs them a fortune and councils hate spending money on children services if they can avoid it.
There would have been a lot of people involved in the process and they are very risk averse people for the most part.

"

I've built lots and lots of lego over the years and tried several competitors as well. In fact I built a megablocks porsche last night for my son. The difference between lego and the rest is quite big. First the bricks are perfect on lego, perfect colour and no scratches or flaws. Next the instructions for lego are clear and easy to follow. Then you've got the parts bagged up in sensible sized packs which allow you to complete the steps required without having too much lego about you.
The megablocks kits was cheap, but the instructions were truly terrible. There was even a small addendum sheet thrown in with corrections one of the corrections was wrong itself!!
Add to this the blocks were not of great quality and the colours weren't consistent.
I almost never pay full price for Lego as there are always offers to be had, but the extra is well worth paying. I have kits from the 80's mixed in with todays stuff and it all fits perfectly.
Not to mention that Lego's support is great.

Market share is irrelevant to apple. Market share can be bought if you throw enough money at it (See Microsoft's and Nokia's attempts).
As the only people making money from mobile is Samsung and Apple I doubt apple care about market share stats.
The iTunes eco system is there to sell hardware not to make apple tons of money.
