To limited extend by Ukrainian army, more like a fallback method if something happens to Startlink. Mesh networks are getting used more and more by Russian army for coordinating drone attacks and surveillance - they use Chinese modems e.g. 70M-6Ghz/Uper C-X-Ku).

I'm wondering how software devs explain this to themselves. What they train for vs what they actually do at their jobs differ more and more with time. And this constant cycle of forgetting and re-learning sounds like a nightmare. Perhaps people burn out not because of their jobs but the system they ended up in.

tracing the drone operators just by a single optical fiber might be difficult but tracing their logistic is not.

Can not grab, it will get caught by branch trees and debris. The launch site is not where operators are located, most often it is well hidden, somewhat protected and hundreds of meters away.

Battery is the bottleneck, master drone has to stay long enough in the air for all drone to hit their targets.

It doesn't matter whether it can resist dragging or not, if they could blow up large concrete reinforced NS pipeline.. a tiny optical cable is much easier to destroy.

I don't know about Finland but I read about Ukraine partnered with AWS in 2022 to move all of its digital infrastructure(government and banks) abroad and it worked surprisingly well.

how big are your assemblies? I had some issues on large assemblies but after Manifold rendering release it became much much faster.

functional programming is such an (semantically) overloaded term, it means completely different things to different people. Each time I read it in a blog post/tweet it makes comprehension slightly more difficult.

I suspect Openpilot sends packages to CAN bus to do steering but what makes the physical wheel rotates? I'm confused. Or when a human makes a correction to auto steering, perhaps there could be some kind of full duplex synchronization mechanism
