I have never seen this and I am from the US. I find it rather alarming. But, I would have abused such a system if it existed in my high school years. I might have gone on to a great college and failed out the first year as a result.

New comment by grapescheesee in "Delta, United sued for selling windowless 'window seats'"

grapescheesee — Wed, 20 Aug 2025 03:45:16 +0000

Seats 12A and 12F have no windows which are even viable. It should be stated in their seat maps since they are in the 'Comfort' section. Many other airlines include the window locations. As someone who flies often enough, and given a choice, I will never select them on the A321. I can understand how it would lead to a lawsuit.

Mandatory amount paid directly to the customer of record, instead of fractions of a cent on the dollar, in year long class action settlements might help the disenfranchised 'customers'.

WBUR just aired an interview today with Brewster Kahle. It would be a very sad day if the Internet Archive stopped resolving, or was stopped from benefiting the common good.

Has it really been 20 years? The days are long. But the years are shorter. Still holding my breath on HL3. VR releases don't count.

Well, it sure seems to make a market for people who would/does pay for legitimate 4k video in their browser to pirate. I am happy to pay for streaming, but as the quality goes down so does any desire to shell out honest money.

Unlock the self awareness mode after a reboot (mash DEL or F8) and remove the physical emotions govener (contact your local dealer). Don't forget to register it before hand with the robotics freedom office.

Write out a list with all the possible numbers, and her get one of each before buying more. That way you can have better odds. The real issue will be how long it takes to buy them all.

Sign of the times? Or sign of controlling resources prior to collapse. The growing deficits globally indicates an unsustainable cost for nearly all parties. Does anything come easy without a cost?

Thanks for posting the (ppt) 20 ppt. It looks like all the animals have higher levels.

One example, with a Science(TM) paywall, cited on the wiki - Great tit near 3M, Port of Antwerp, Belgium 2007 liver 553–11,359[39]

Had a 553-11,359ppb from liver tests published in 2006.

Really happy we moved away from ppb to ppt.

Meanwhile commercial dishwashers take all of three minutes per cycle. I would recommend buying commercial versions of any appliance if you're able. Parts are replaceable, made to be serviced, not choked full of eco marketing, or incompetent regulations which add to more waste in the long run.

New comment by grapescheesee in "She lived in a New York hotel for more than 40 years, but her life was a mystery"

grapescheesee — Wed, 15 Nov 2023 17:05:40 +0000

Over 800 days in hotel in the past three years. Its a rather difficult life, and hard to explain how it impacts you.

Time difference, doctor/dental visits, mail, family, and work life balance are brutal.

Getting a call when your partner totals a car, and ends up having one of their worst days, and just needs a physical person to see and comfort them really makes it seem pointless. Life happens and its hard enough when you're able to return home everyday.

Depressing and inspiring.

My dad gave me seven stones once. He said each is a decade of time you have. Then took two away, and threw them. He said use the rest as you can.
