idk about the marketing ploy, but the latest mainstream media coverage is giving covid panic vibes. which is making me think it'll be fine. it's also entertaining how the rationalists who work for the AI companies are being extremely irrational with their fear

nah, i live a very fulfilling life outside of work. i just found programming enjoyable to do, instead of freelance copywriting which legitimately made me wanna die and never write again. decided that programming was a good source of income that wouldn't starve my writing life

sorry i'm a writer who edits... this project is genuinely interesting and i'm curious to see where it goes. i would try to market it as ML instead of AI, given the current temperature of AI in publishing and writing circles. if somebody can improve upon track changes in a git-like, narrative-tree way, then that might be super useful tool!

i just use track changes for that + a "trash" doc, or an entirely new story if it needs more space, but go off.

i also made an app for my writing process and quickly realized it was a distraction from the actual work of writing

fwiw, we get bad hurricanes more than that and also the mid-south is the new tornado alley. there was a very bad ice storm this past winter. natural disasters happen everywhere. and it's hot AF in july and august, like so hot that you stay inside all day.

no talk about the only american writer with the guts to try to be like homer? the battlefield where the moon says i love you by frank stanford. obscure just like homer was in his time.

though, i would bet money that "the american homer" will be somebody most readers have never heard of.

it's definitely not twain or hemingway, like everybody is saying. if you think it's twain, then it is faulkner, who was the first white writer to not write a one dimensional black character.

why are we talking about bernie sanders in the context of new york state? he's a US senator from vermont. this is state-level politics, not federal, in the state of new york, not vermont. and he's not mentioned once in this article?

i would like to point out the irony that people are arguing about this in the comments.

my life has gotten so much better when i actively don't engage in arguments. especially when i know i'm right.

of course it's easier said than done but growth is a long road.
