Technical note, because it's jargon:

"Real" means position = A * sin(w * t)

"Imaginary" means position = A * expt(w * t)

(because expt(w * i * t) = cos(w * t) + i * sin(w * t))

If you calculate in a computer an ammonia molecule with all the atom is a plane z = 0 (instead of the usual piramidal shape), then the N in the center is in an inestable equilibrium and the N does not make small vibrations like z = expt(w * t).

It makes a big "imaginary" vibration like z = expt(w * t) that is exponential for a short time while z is almost 0, and then the approximations don't apply and it reach the z of the usual shape at equilibrium.

In all of the presentations we used to have 3.3% and 1.5% fat content, but since a few years we have 3%, 2%, 1% and if you are very unlucky 0% that taste like water with watercolor. I'm not sure why we changed, probably some weird Big Cow conspiracy :)

All of that is pasteurized and homogenized.

Anyway, 3% is more tasty than 1%. I'm not sure about the difference with 3.3%. But the low fat one is recommended for diets.

When I was young, my grandfather has a small summer house like 1 mile away from a town that is like 10 miles away from the capital city of one of the provinces in the northwest of Argentina. We use to bought raw unpasteurized unhomogenized milk from someone that had cows nearby. But we obliviously had to boil it and then remove the big layer of cream at the top, that we used for cooking (as a replacement of butter).

The problem of boiling milk at home is that it must boil for 10 minutes or something and that changes the flavor. In a factory, they can boil milt at ~150°C (300°F) for 1 second instead, that kills the bacterias but does not change the flavor.

If you see a topic you are interested and have an honest question, make a comment.

If you find something interesting, you can make a new post, but it's difficult to know what the hivemind will like. A technical post with some relevant graphics or photos is a good starting point.

Avoid too much self promotion and posting too much. For the first month don't post more than once per day (or week), until you understand what is considered interesting. (It's not a hard rule, but it's hard to find too many interesting things to post.)

The Business <---> Engineering translation layer is an important role, if you convince everyone you are good at it and get a nice salary. It also adds some opportunities to discuss the trade off and add your own opinion.

I've used https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lock-in_amplifier and in ideal conditions you get a 10^6 amplification, when you send a very clean signal and measure how it bounce.

My expert opinion is that 10^18 is im-facking-possible.
