Capital over humans. This is the main significance of the "free market" people love so much in HN. And then, after defending this monstruosity, they get sad when the internet becomes this anti-human place, they get sad with layoffs, etc. Abstraction overtook reality.

Hey I'm curious on how your reminder app works and to what effects, if you're willing to share. I'm on iteration 3 already of my reminder app, also vibe coded, and it helps me a lot.
I've never seen such a reaction to Apple on HN. Quite to the contrary, there are a lot of fanboys here. A lot of macOS-only software is promoted here and I rarely see any complaints in the comments.

Shame is out of fashion. Remember back when people felt ashamed to be stupid? Now it's hypernormalized. These past few days people have been drinking dishwater detergent in Brazil to 'fight' against health regulations[0] and 'the big bad state' - shame is not even a part of the equation anymore.
0: Couldn't find a good source in English on Google, because Google also has no shame at all to offer such a poor search service. But it has been all over brazilian news.
