I really like what Jony Ive did with Ferrari. It’s the perfect blend of digital and analog instruments. High quality material and finishing.
Many of these German car companies are following what sells well in Chinese markets, more and more screens. IMO, nothing beats the feeling and assurance of tactile buttons/toggles/knobs.

Some context: Students are protesting to reform the quota system. Which was abolished in 2018 after protest but recently brought back again. The Quota system basically reserves 56% of public sector jobs, i.e. 30% to relatives of war veteran.
The war happened in 1971. To get public job and avail the quota, it must be their 3rd or 4th generation now. Which is plain unfair.
But it’s not about that, the gov loyalists and their goons fake these veteran certificates to land these jobs. Bangladesh is one of the most corrupted countries in the world after all. So real veteran relatives are seldom the beneficiary.
These students just wanted to reform this system. But our fascist gov and their goons used force and killed 50+ unarmed students until yesterday (3 from my alma mater alone.) This was completely unprovoked and unnecessary. Basically any forms of dissent have been dealt with this way since 2009. No one can criticize or protest the big brother.
We have a dictatorship since 2009. People are angry - due to corruption, inflation, joblessness and tyranny. This is just some outburst of it.
When you see the videos how the police are killing teenagers and university students in the road - our future generation - no one can tolerate this.
Now the fascist gov has closed all internet and phone connection to outside world. I can't contact my family anymore. I don't know their well being.
There is of course more to it. But this is the summary.

Dear HN,
I just published MeiliFinder. It's a CLI client app for MeiliSearch. For those who don't know MeiliSearch, it's a search engine like ElasticSearch written in Rust.
I created this app because there's no CLI app for MeiliSearch. Until now, I have used a web based client but I prefer CLI app for this kind of tool.
The app is built with Ratatui and 100% open source. :)

Hi I made the CLI tool,
I wanted to have a little display in my room that would show the latest departures of trains and buses in my nearest station. I thought, I would just make a CLI tool first and then can make another app for an arduino or esp32.
This just mimics the departure display Munich stations have in their premises. As a fan of CLI tool and rust, I just made this for fun. :)

Hi HN,
I just published version 2 of my tab grouping extension, Tabius. A major redesign - I built it from the ground up consisting of Typescript, Preact, and Vite. More importantly, the project is now open source!
Tabius is a browser extension that enhances the tab grouping feature of Chromium based browsers. It is automatic but you can also create custom rules.
The extension is packed with useful features like:
- Automatically create new tab groups when you open a link in a new tab.
- Auto Collapse inactive tab groups.
- Limit the browser to only create groups if the new tab matches the original tab's domain.
- Create custom tab grouping rules: always create tab groups with a specific name and color from your favorite websites!
- Save your favorite tab groups and restore them for later use!
- Don't want to create tab groups from a specific site? Create a blacklist from the settings or add the site to the blacklist right from the toolbar!
- Option to close an existing tab group when there is only 1 tab left in it.
- Limit maximum number of tabs allowed in a group.
- Automatically name tab groups based on domain/subdomain or the full URL.
- View current tab groups and act upon them by clicking on the extension icon right from the toolbar.
- Sync all your settings, tab groups, and custom lists with browser.
- ..and many more features.
It's a small utility that I use daily and you might find it useful. Any suggestions or pull requests are welcome :)

Thank you for your input.
I was also thinking about implementing bookmarking feature locally. But seeing HN has its own 'favorite' feature, I decided to skip it.
This can be doable. Since HN doesn't provide an API for it, I have to parse the webpage and collect the ids for the favorited stories from there. If I get more users, I will certainly implement more features like this.
My end goal is to have maximum feature parity with the website. :)
