Good to see that the concept which was first presented to me in an ACT problem is finally becoming a reality. It would have been nice to have heard about this before taking a timed test. Much too fascinating and time consuming.

What people don't always understand is outside of the tech world, there are people who still think computer upgrades are unnecessary expenditures. It's true that the theoretical lifetime of a computer is probably something like 50 years, minus the hard drive replacement and the power supply which will generally go bad much quicker.

The more difficult thing is in a field like aeronautics any minor changes have the possibility of generating catastrophic events. In these situations, the cost of replacement, and testing, and phasing stuff in is enormously high and the risk is obscene when change needs to be made.

It would seem then, that as humans, we are forcing ourselves to be less contextual on our talk and more uniform. This is precisely how cell phone talk becomes more understandable, is by meaning the same things when you talk much more consistently.

This. I can't believe how arrogant the community is, especially against first time posters. 9/10's of the time, you will get some part of their policy wrong prior to posting. Also, they flag things as repeats very often for being related but not the same. I have never desired to post there ever again after the sny comments I've received from the management.

I would probably do some kind or genetic study as I traveled. There is some kind of interesting genotype(s) I would have to test for. This could be plant, animal, human. I wouldn't really care.

This is good. The very odd thing about this event is that I recall the benefit and to some extent the ridiculousness of the ice bucket challenge, and thought to myself that it's great that people were coming together to help those in need.

Several months later, my father was diagnosed with ALS. A week ago, my father passed away.

At this stage in my life, I can't begin to express how thankful I am that there is a group dedicated to the treatment of this condition and that (unlike many other US charitable endeavors) the monies received have been utilized efficiently.

It's incredibly stupid how this article bashes overall implementation, rather than detail of implementation. Detail of implementation should matter 1000 times more. And let's face it, as a country China is a wreckless teenager. It has not had the time to form good economic policy with investors from every country throwing it wads of cash.
