Go a step further and switch to Mint, T-mobile's pay-as-you-go subsidiary. I'm paying $180/year for a single line. I've been on mint for ~3 years now.
On Mint your traffic is routed with lower priority than T-Mobile's main customers. In practice, I have only experienced this at busy airports and an MLB game - where basically service dropped to near zero. This is in the Boston area. Obviously not ideal if you're in those conditions regularly. Otherwise it's been awesome.
If the service is of interest my referral code is below. It gets you a $15 renewal credit for joining. Will the winds of votes love or hate a referral code? Who knows! apologies if I'm out of bounds. (I don't understand why it's out of bounds)
[0] http://fbuy.me/vks2P

TIL that there is a W3C WebMonetization spec - thanks for sharing.
Taking a look, it seems quite underwhelming[0] :( Lack of monetization on the web gave us the ad-driven content model that LLMs are now hovering up.
Have there been any other proposals for monetization?
[0] https://webmonetization.org/specification/

Gatsby gets shit on a lot - which I think is a but unfair. I find it to be a solid, well-documented platform. It has some rough spots, but show me a platform that doesn't.
The author also complains that:
> I couldn’t build the site locally or upgrade dependencies, leaving it outdated since 2019
This is true of many things in the javascript ecosystem. In react/node/js-land you HAVE to invest in maintenance (and re-writes) or be left with a legacy codebase that just might not work one day if npm install fails.

Mineis called README.md or notes.txt I use a similar hierarchical format - I use tabs for the hierarchy. I use markdown for most notes, but I find it somewhat incompatible with the tab-based note-taking that I prefer.
I share this in case there are others out there who work the same way. Let's band together to establish a tab-friendly Markdown variant!

> Self hosted option? I'm sure that would drive people to adopt the likely great tech behind this.
It's a pretty compelling product. At my org we have a ton of components that we'd need to "brickify" to make them available in the editor. It's hard to justify the integration and maintenance effort with a SaaS. And hard give up the core of publishing to a 3rd party.
