I've been using Claude Code ever since it came out, and I've seen good success with it. However, Matt Shumer's recent article [1] included a piece I'm curious about:

When describing his workflow now, he says "Then, and this is the part that would have been unthinkable a year ago, it opens the app itself. It clicks through the buttons. It tests the features. It uses the app the way a person would."

Unless I missed a major development, do these coding agents have the ability to use feedback loops like this? If so, how have you all built this functionality into your workflow?

Any guidance / advice / documentation I can read would be super helpful!

It’s gotten noticeably worse on my projects as well. Likely going to switch to Codex until they also start degrading performance for better margins

Been building side-projects for a while, and the part that I always find the hardest is design. Almost every LLM designs apps in the same way, which is fine, but I want to understand the underlying principles. Any good book / learning resources you all have come across?

I just graduated college, and this was a major blow. I studied Mechanical Engineering and went into Sales Engineering because cause I love technology and people, but articles like this do nothing but make me dread the future.

I have no idea what to specialize in, what skills I should master, or where I should be spending my time to build a successful career.

Seems like we’re headed toward a world where you automate someone else’s job or be automated yourself.
