Azure's a massive pothole, the biggest waste of time and money, there's five options available.

1 - it's in preview or private preview and sits there for years.

2 - half the platform is poorly stitched together and one blip away from weeks or months of failure.

3 - Management don't care or have any understanding, if you can get the right information to the outsourced support they still won't have any idea (sorry its out of our scope).

4 - ai will fix it.

5 - pay us more money for nothing, we will pull the rug from under your feet soon.

I am amazed they are still in business.

it's like GeoCities from the 1990's, 99% of it looks rubbish, and if any % of it even work's - it would be truely shocking.

The reason of cause is that we are all doing AI wrong ;) 18 billion articles later and I am sure we will still be in the same position.

The great distraction, just think if we spent the same amount of time, effort and money on things that really mattered (climate emergency)

Sorry this just does not work... if what is being shipped is harmful to your own work or the rest of the company I feel I should speak up.

Sometimes the person/people normally doing ego defending often tries to blame everything/one else over their view or project.

If someone is trying to defend a telnet session into a banking server, live on the internet in 2026 then hey dude this has to be called out. (( I am not saying I have been in this position in 2026 )) but even the year I was in this position it was 100% unacceptable and needed fixing.

ok so some people call it "brittle" it's 2026, what would impress were if people raised the issues and helped fixing them!

writing in another language, how much more complexity do you want to introducing :)

I believe bash scripts can be anything you want them to be, if they are useful to you then happy day's.

if you hit performance issues or want to experiment else where cool.

error handling in ruby is almost impossible

error handling in python is wildly hit and miss

error handling in golang is rather annoying

error handling in powershell, good luck you will need it

error handling in perl ok i'll stop now you probably get the picture.
