People in China have every packet inspected and injected with a malicious payload if it doesnt suit their government. They may get a knock at the door if they say something bad. It also restricts free access to information.

They dont just “feel” oppressed, they are.

This looks very smooth. Would this be in 10 bit colour if the display supports it? I can't see any banding even when zoomed in Safari or Brave on a MBP with HDR display.

China have their own crypto standard OSCCA, which uses the SM4 cipher, SM3 hash function etc instead of using the AES, ECDH, RSA algorithms everyone else does. The OSCCA standard are only approved for use in China.

I definitely prefer being able to scroll with trackpad and keyboard vs physical pages.
