And replaced it with utter bullshit.

I HATE the "Settings" crap. It's horrible. Fucking mess find anything. Half the functionality of the control panel applets are still not implemented. You essentially can't do more than one settings task at a time.

I seriously want to stab whoever thought this was a good idea on the face.

This is so awesome! I cannot wait for it to be finished. The DC is still my all time favorite console and having all these projects pop up the past few years has been great.

Now we need someone to cross compile all the N64 games for the DC :D

And you can tell based off all the other comments on here that you and I are in the minority on liking that it's stable. Even with all its faults.

I, too, have 20 year old perl scripts that still run fine.

I randomly have to bang my head on my desk over bs with python and php incompatibilities between versions.

Sadly I'm in that position. I have hundreds of PLCs and legacy controllers on my network that are IPv4 only and will never be replaced. At least not in a reasonable time frame. I'm talking 20+ year life expectancies.

It's a pretty simple question.

Delivering what in what industries? I see SOME usefulness in SOME areas like, specifically, machine vision. But a lot of things? Medical? yeah, no. Lots of issues there. Text generation? Hallucinations out the ass and extremely iffy results often.

Most of the 'wins' in the text gen side still require a TON of work on the human's part to make it usable. People like to mention Pro's in Math and coding talking about it helping them with stuff but they are experts already.

It has potential in a lot of places but this rapid paced forcing of it everywhere is idiotic and foolhardy.
