That is your problem: You have not taken the time to understand other cultures.
You believe they are not being honest but they ARE!!
If they can not do the work, they tell you, but in their own language, not directly but in subtle ways.
They are expressing it, and in their mind you understand them, because they are actually saying it. It is just that you are deaf to their language, you are not looking to the nuances, and just ignore those signals they are emitting.
Then comes the blaming and the pointing fingers.

In my experience the best playgrounds are not playgrounds at all.
As a kid my playground was the mountains, the beach, playing with sand, dirt, climbing trees, making cardboard's or bricks' or wood houses. Hearing and telling stories around the campfire...
I was terrified when I went back to visit a school I was when I was 4-6 years old. Instead of just one big piece of land for kids to play they had divided it with fences in something like 20 small spaces so they could control kids easier.
It was a prison. I believe this has to affect the kids development somehow.
I also feel bad for a playground like the one in the image:
https://i.guim.co.uk/img/media/1094dd57d6a80c1ae1fb131937de5...
Because kids have imagination, they don't need a ship. If they have boxes they have a ship, or a space center or everything they could imagine.
This is like a father buying a toy for his children and then only he playing it, not letting his children play.
A adult designer takes the best part: imagining, and then doesn't let the kids imagine anything else as you can not move or modify anything in the ship like you can do with boxes or wooden logs.
That is making a tremendous disservice to children.

The fact that ionizing radiation causes cancer because it resonates with DNA bonds does not mean that other kinds of radiation could not cause other types of cancer.
Other kind of radiation will resonate with bigger molecules and could do things like denaturalize them.
Have you ever fried an egg. You are denaturalizing a protein that is liquid and becomes solid, and you have done that just with heat alone.
You can actually denaturalize an egg in the microwave oven, and there are certainly lots of health problems when the microwave oven leaks microwaves.
When you denaturalize something in the body, it stops working as it should. This creates a cascade of things that stops working as they should.

Catalonia and Basque country are the most developed places in Spain, from an industrial point of view.
Historically there were the biggest supporters of Spain, specially in the times of the Empire.
For example Cuba was controlled mostly by Catalans.
After losing Cuba and Philippines there were lots of social unrest in Spain, and specially Catalonia. Lots of people moving into cities. It was the time of romanticism, nationalism, communism and anarchism.
Catalonia had lots of anarchist combined with a rich bourgeoisie that had repatriated a fair amount of the wealth from Cuba.
The rich bourgeoisie wanted more autonomy so they could be richer and not share their wealth with less developed parts of Spain,(while preserving the market to continue selling to them) like Andalusia and Extremadura, that were extremely poor at the start of 20th century.
In 1934 they supported a secessionist movement to declare independence of Spain trying to take advantage of the communist movement to declare Spain a dictatorship of the proletariat that only got traction in the north of Spain, in Asturias. Those that took part of the movement went to jail.
In 1936 the left coalition of Frente popular, that included communist and anarchist wins the elections, and make an amnesty freeing all the people from the 1934 coup. They start burning churches, raping nuns, and killing people (more than 700 in over 7000 incidents). The gobertment does nothing, because they are sympathetic to them, or they just want revolution coming(like Largo Caballero).
That leads to the revolt of the army and the start of the Spanish civil war. In Catalonia the supporter of the secessionist movement in 1934, Companys, is in charge.
This led to terror in Catalonia, in which the religious people were exterminated, something that Companys was specially proud of and made the bourgeoisie specially afraid as the anarchists went after them.
This made bourgeoisie later one of the biggest supporters of Franco, the irony.
After Franco won the war there was a very centralized State in Spain.
When Franco died, they decided to give autonomy to all the provinces in order to appease the nationalist(they did not supported Independence openly at the time).
In Catalonia secessionist were a minority at the time. Most people wanted more autonomy(who doesn't). The man who controlled Catalonia, an extremely corrupt person called Pujol was very secessionist and started creating a network of secessionist in all local public institutions.
At the time the Spanish gobertment of Felipe Gonzalez was also very corrupt, and the King of Spain(that pocketed deals commissions of energy deals with Saudi Arabia). They knew each other and made sure that Justice did not act upon them.
Controlling the education, local TV, and most of the economic system in Catalonia make more people become secessionist, specially young people.
Now it has become clear that Pujol was a tremendous corrupt person and Justice went after them, the guys that pocketed from 3% to 10% of all public money in Catalonia for decades.
Catalonia and Andalucia had been extremely corrupt for a long time.
That(most people getting to know the corruption) destroyed the nationalist party in the elections and made them what we call "flee fordward" with independence, even when there are not enough people yet for it to success without a doubt.
If they get independence, with their own justice system, they will be able to continue doing what they have been doing for a long time.
Right now most supporters of it are kids, 14, 16 years old and people under 30 years old.
They had been promised that they will be like Switzerland rich, part of the EU of course, with all the advantages they have today for being part of Spain(like exporting 70% of their products there)without all the disadvantages.
The EU has said that an independent Catalonia will not enter the EU.

Because Spain is currently one of the more decentralized country in the world?
Spain created the "autonomias" in order to appease secessionists.
Not a brilliant idea given them the control of the Education(that teaches them that Spain robs them and creates fiction about their past, all while rejecting Spanish), of the Police(so their friends could close roads without consequences), put levies to shops that used Spanish in their signs and tracks and harass those kids that use Spanish in School's recess.
BTW, the secessionist want to own Catalonia, but it feels too less to them, they also want Valencia and the Balearic Islands. And if you let them a big part of Aragón.

90 %!! This is absolutely false.
In Spain it is legal to want independence, it is legal to create political parties that go for it, legally, BUT it is not legal to go against the law.
Creating a referendum is not legal because in Spain the sovereignty is in the general Spanish population, not in the local population.
This is not Scotland, Catalonia has never been a sovereign state that decided to join a union preserving its sovereignty. Spain was created as the union(by marriage) of the reigns of Castilla and Aragón, that included Catalonia.
The secesionist organized a referendum and they themselves counted the votes, like Stalin said it is not important who votes but who counted the votes. They added a million to the real number.
The local population holds over 50% of secessionist votes.
BTW the joke of gobertment that Spain has given the Catalan local Government(managed by secessionist!!) the management of prisons there. So they will be released soon after the elections, because the president is there thanks to the support of secessionists.

You are highly biased as a german speaker.
English is a germanic language. You say "gut" instead of "good", "zu" instead of "to", "wir" instead of "we", "Wetter" instead of "Weather", "nichts zu tun" instead of "nothing to do".
You will not be doing as much effort as someone from a totally different native language. The CIA calculated that it requires over 4 times the effort to learn Chinese for an English speaker than learning French. It also applies back, a Chinese will find it very hard to learn proper English.
Learning English for a german student is as easy as taking the train and spending some days in England.
Now for most Chinese, or even Indian(they have more than 20 languages) people, or Arabic,it is not so easy.
The fact is that they are in a disadvantage, not in a leveled field and they don't like it.
They are the majority of the population in the world, so if they develop their economies they will force everybody else to learn their native language, not the other way around.

Isn't that amazing that people could justify and rationalize everything?
You take the worst thing people can do, like assassinating people and you find always a rationalization that the criminals construct.
Hitler took absolute power because of the Reichstag fire and the communist menace and did kill people on the way to absolute power, always pointing to the bigger communist threat.
The rationalization of communist for assassinating people on the way to absolute power? They were fighting the fascist, they said.
Obviously if you could rationalize the worst it is easier to rationalize less damaging things like stealing, raping, kidnapping or hitting people.
Stealing is bad.
Scooters take way less space than cars. More than 30% of the street is taken by them. They weight 1500 kilos, several meters long and move just one person most of the time.
A scooter moves one person, weighting 20, 30 kilos at most and occupies noting compared to cars.

The article contradicts itself.
It starts with polio vaccine, which was an amazing product that people needed. It as not a hard sell at all, lots of people died because of polio.
Then he puts the counterexample with penicillin and says it took 20 years to sell.
But it is wrong in the sense that it took 20 years in developing the industrial process that made penicillin cheap. Not because people did not want it, but because it was a real hard problem to solve.
I read years ago a book about the history of Penicillin and there were tremendous technical roadblocks that made the industrial production of it a chimera(until they were solved). I believe they won the novel price for solving this technical roadblocks(the industrial process, not just the discovery).
You can't analyze it backwards, from the point when all these roadblocks were solved and say, hey! people did no like it!
The equivalent today is nuclear fusion. It has technical roadblocks that makes it a chimera until they are solved. It is not that people do not want nuclear fusion, it is that they doubt scientist will solve the roadblocks so financing is very weak.
The real problem is that nobody(or very few) believe in what does not exist, what they can not see. In the Bible it is called "Faith". Innovation is by definition creating something that did not exist before.
Innovation needs people that could see the future as real, even when it does not exist yet. They are called visionaries, and are highly problematic people. Most people can't understand them, because they are dreamers, "pie in the sky" people.
By the way, most of those visionaries are wrong in their visions, and consume the wealth of those from the "real world" that trust them. 9 out of 10.
In fact, for a long time inventors were considered "Snake oil" salespeople, scammers.
The only difference is that today failing 9 times out of 10 is considered normal business and VCs approach it like a numbers game: They know the 1 out of 10 that success will pay for the failures.
The article makes a wrong assumption: That technologies are fixed and finished, you sell them and people do not want them.
But that is not the case, technologies evolve continuously: Take lithium batteries:They have been improving 7% a year, looks like nothing but it is exponential change, you see 10 years, 15 and the product is completely different.
I bought a RepRap machine when 3d printers patents expired. It was crap, nothing to do with RepRap machines today once 300.000 or more printers have been sold, and in the future when millions of 3d printers are sold the change will accelerate more, because more people will use and modify their printers.
Electric cars, solar panels, wind energy technologies evolve. When they are mass produced, prices get cheaper, as they get cheaper, more people want it, as there is bigger market, more companies invest in R&D, and technologies improve more.

"But when El Caudillo died in 1975, Spain miraculously left her troubled past behind her, embarking on a rare, successful transition to democracy that was sealed by a landmark referendum in 1978."
Not that miraculously. More like the CIA financed and trained in France a terrorist attract to kill the person that Franco has selected as successor, Carrero Blanco and then appointing the most stupid person in the regime, Arias Navarro.
The "successful" transition to democracy was initiated by stupid decisions like giving the Sahara territories to Morroco so they can slaughter the native population and occupy it with Morrocan(It should have been given independence instead) and creating the State of Autonomias.
The State of Autonomias was the transition from a highly centralized State, to one of the more decentralized countries on Earth.
It was done this way in order to appease the Independentist that were a minority at the time,(In Catalunia a 6-12%) and now in places like Catalunia and Vasque country are becoming near to a majority(50%).
The electoral system in Spain(chosen in the "succesful" transition to democracy, favored minorities over majorities giving way more representation than they should have.
They made the effective eradication of the use of Spanish, even in places like Basque country(the Spanish language comes from the territory between it and Cantabria) in education and brainwashing of kids propagating hatred against anything spanish.
That was also helped by the terrorist organization ETA that just killed and ostracized those that were not secessionist in Basque country.
In Catalunia kids were taught that Catalonia were a kingdom in the past(never happened), the myth of the Segadors as independentist when they were a movement against the rich or that the war for Sucesion(succession) was a war for Secession in Catalunia.
BTW, this lie is the the linked article.
This is all false and very easy for anyone to check, because Truth doesn't matter because when repeating a lie a thousand times it becomes a truth. And they controlled local TV and education for 40 years.
They even meet each year in front of a guy called Rafael Casanovas as a secession leader when every time he talked always finished with a "Viva España"(long live Spain).
Spanish history is no more violent than that of the rest of European countries, or the UK and US(that have fought or invaded most of the countries on the rest of the world).

It is more complex than that.
Japan is not a producer of fruits. They come from far away. This means they have to transport it economically, that means they are transported by sea.
That means bananas are green when collected and sent to Japan, because transporting it by sea takes a long time.
Bananas naturally release CH4 that actually makes the fruit mature and spoils it. So they have to absorb it or diffuse during transport, then add it in Japan.
But if they add it in Japan, the fruit does not mature entirely, only the external side, so it is a good idea to add an artificial atmosphere of some kind.

Because it is not the best solution for most computer problems.
Simple as that.
I am a functional and OOP programmer myself. I find functional way more elegant for modeling most mathematical problems, but OOP way better at modeling real life things with states.
OOP and states introduce lots of problems and complexity, but the solution is not removing states, or a series of complex mathematical entelechies.
In fact "removing states" is not really removing them. It is creating new objects with static states on it. It makes it super hard to model real life.
(dynamic)States exist in real life. Temperature, pressure, height, volume, brightness, weight...
There are programmers that understand programs as a religion, they only program in one system ans believe it is the best thing in the world and everybody should be forced to use it. I feels sorry for them and the people that depend on them.
The solution will be new paradigms that are neither OOP nor FP.

No, 1984 or Animal Farm is not really fiction. It is the personal experience of Orwell when traveling to Spain as anarchist to participate in the civil war and fighting against communism.
The communist faction in Catalunia received orders from Stalin and for anarchist they were even a bigger enemy than Franco .
In fact, the communist ordered the murder of Orwell, along lots of other people. Orwell saved the life because at the time he was nobody important. Orwell was warned and he ran away of the country.
Novels like War and Peace, they are powerful because they are written in times of war.
People like Albert Einstein, watch Genius in Amazon Prime...or "the life of others" they experienced real dystopia.
It is not fictional dystopia. It is reality dystopia.
It is only that their children that are raised in peace have never experience it, and tend to repeat it.
Most wars tend to follow a cycle of 80 years. When there is no people alive that remember the war, they tend to repeat it.

Yes, if you don't value your time then yes, buying an Ender and modifying it is a better deal.
I am part of a Spanish 3D printer group called "clone wars", and dozens of people there have bought Enders because they are dirty cheap.
It really takes a master degree in engineering to solve most of them, because they want to print professionally expending 300euros.
That connects with the point 4, yes people want everything, expending nothing. But that they could get it is a completely different thing.
As the print bed goes bigger, the mechanical deflections increase with the square of it.
The price of things like milled precision beds or original linear rails, increments non linearly for a tolerance when the size of the bed increases.
