What a bummer. We helped map the Kerrville floods for support of the state. Same day we mapped it, so did this WB-57 - only 35K feet above us. Such a historic and unique aircraft - I feel bad for the pilots onboard knowing it will likely total that aircraft even if it was a mechanical failure.

With image resolution this high, ground accuracy becomes an important factor as many people that prefer higher resolutions also want geospatially accurate images. Did you have any findings or results on this?

Chase sucks so bad, I would spend a lifetime encouraging anyone to bank elsewhere. I know Mitch is nice enough to say Chase wasn't the problem, but their "controls" are so archaic it makes doing business with them a chore and not a pleasure.

I can't read the article, and so it probably mentions this but I think this is a big case of "the past was prologue".

DOD is making a big bet that anything chip and silicon is going to be really hard to acquire past 2027.

This may be a great big gravy train for Intel.

I love my Remarkable, it forces me to stay in creativity mode without jumping to the internet since it doesn't have a browser. That being said, the inability to simply put your own templates in the machine and have them persist through and update is so close to being a showstopper for me that I am not sure I would consider buying a new one. The RM2 template manager is great, but you have to update your templates after every firmware update and I hate that with a passion!

I love tailscale, but an unusual thing happened when I upgraded my home pc to Windows 11. Now my tailscale still connects to all of my other computers and servers, but I can't browse any network shares. I guess authentication changed in Windows 11 and is not backward-compatible. Tailscale worked marvelously for me for ages, but Windows 11 for sure threw a wrench in the gears!

That's interesting. I have a site I visit about once every three months that requires a mag key and three different keyfobs. I had been looking at this as a fun way to declutter my access into this facility.
