I decided to be an engineer as opposed to manager because I didn't like people management. Now it looks like I'm forced to manage robots that talk like people. At least I can be the as non-empathetic as I want to be. Unless a startup starts doing HR for AI agents then I'm screwed.

Regardless of which, my favorite model is ChatGPT's. I feel they're the only ones talking to customers. The other models are not as pleasant to work with as a software engineer.

My professor back in the day told me that "software is eating hardware". No matter how hardware gets advanced, software will utilize that advancement.

It wasn't any better for me. It deleted all my code. The answers were like it was a completely different model. I used Windsurf once and never opened it again

I just abandoned Windsurf because I found copy/pasting code with ChatGPT's web interface significantly better in terms of results.

What about the large number of failures of (a) and (b)? I've worked with so many startups and recently all I can think of is what garbage are these investors investing in, and how is this garbage that's going to die within a year making me so much money (as an employee).
