I've just noticed two of my Facebook pages are gone without a trace, so is my ad account associated with them.

They've been fairly inactive, but I'm pretty sure I haven't posted anything violating the ToS.

I've just spent more than an hour wandering around the incoherent cesspool that Meta calls Accounts Center and Meta Business Suite, I can't find a trace of the existence of these accounts.

I'm not sure when they disappeared, these were reserved for something I've been building and as I was getting ready for launch I just noticed I can't access them and typing their URL just gives "This content isn't available right now"

Both pages had a couple hundred real followers.

Has anyone gone through anything similar?

Have you ever wanted to read an article only to discover two paragraphs later that you need a recurring subscription to move forward?

We don't go to the bakery and leave a donation and then eventually take a loaf when we need it. We also don't have a membership to our corner bakery. We buy the bread, because it is valuable to us and we value the work of the baker.

I read a lot and I make an effort to read from varied sources. However, maintaining subscriptions to a dozen places isn't only a financial burden, I often feel like I don't want to be a supporter of a certain platform, for political or other reasons, but when they do great work I'd be willing to pay.

Intellectual work is highly valuable and still somehow the market has evolved into a state where people either depend on donations, which I find quite derogatory need to compete with big players to convince users to pay yet another $10-$20 a month.

Vernus aims to be just as much a platform for the paywalled content of big media as it is an anti-Substack, where individual voices can build a readership and earn a living.

Had it with React when it moved to functional components from class components.

But I convinced myself I have to dive deep enough to understand it since a lot of people seem to like it. And now I like the Composition API more in general.

Apart from one tidbit: I constantly forget where I need to put `.value` after a variable name to extract its... value.

If it says super crunchy and you assess the crunchiness is merely average, well, that's your perception.

But if it says it's paprika flavoured and it turns out to be sauerkraut, you gotta bring it back to the store.

The idea is that you can buy and sell individual pieces of content and not get into subscription hell on either side.

I'm trying to figure out channels where I could contact writers to join.

I'm old enough to remember stuff like 9Rules which gathered great writers, but cannot find such places anymore, at least not of that quality. I mostly find good blogs by randomly stumbling into them on HN.

Can you recommend curations of good blogs? I'd love to reach out to the authors with some early bird offers.
