Why would you cite a Bloomberg reference in the article? Are you completely tone deaf on open source software and private ownership and use of 3d printers? FFS don’t direct traffic towards an opponent of free software.

A switch differs from a hub, a patch panel differs from a hub. Hopefully you haven’t touched one since affordable fast Ethernet switches hit the consumer market.

A real router has no radio. It has no SSID. It routes traffic. It applies a set of ACLs to determine if traffic should be forwarded. That’s it. No switching. No WiFi. Just routing. If routes traffic on the wire.
