Well if anyone had doubts, it’s better to be a different looking person now than during medieval times. That is even scarier than the torture itself to me.

Yep. Not the same in most of EU where proof of efficiency is most often required. Which also explains why some people need to go to the US for treatment

FeLV has a vaccine. Also I guess it’s regional, here not that many cases. Also have personally seen multiple cats live well past 10 with FIV, with no treatment as they are none. 2-3 years seems super short from what I’ve seen so I wouldn’t blame FIV only. (I am an European vet)

I don’t know what you graduated in. But I was given a chance at my first good company because I followed a pretty elitist (natural sciences I must add) curriculum. But in the meantime, I had found consulting jobs pretty easily. And even if they’re crap it launches you in the career.

Just a few weeks ago I also had one iMac and one old MacBook but I just sold them both.

Also one iPhone one iPad and one Apple Watch. And one car if that counts too.

I loved this article but I can't like it without an account.

I am in an hopefully now lifelong relationship, that almost failed at some point, but what brought us back together is this. So very true. We just "got" each other, from pretty early on, and although it can be crafted through years, it's just a bliss when it's spontaneous. And finding that level of connection (of course strengthened through the years together) again looks impossible.

(And if they stalk my account, I love you :) )

I work two jobs, the second one is not possible remotely. Now that the first one (SWE) is fully remote, my interactions with coworkers in job 2 are more intense and I feel much more a part of Company 2 than before.

So I need human interactions but it’s fine if it’s another group of people. I have hobbies outside with people too, but the mandatory aspect of a job, and the variety of people (compared to a hobby where we all like the same thing) just makes it better.

I would've stopped at the part where the cat can make them fall one by one with her paw. Let her grab food that way, that will make her busy longer than when dropping the meals.
