Get ready for the not reading, between people asking for AI and the slop everyone is writing Today communication will only get worst.
Talking to a 'yes and autocomplete' that will agree with everything you say and praise it as a "Great idea!" will make everything terrible

What worried me is that LLMs are becoming a crutches for overworked engineers. But instead of reducing the workload it has also increased the expectation and consequently more aggressive deadlines, making it all worst overall

Sorry but this seems like vibe coded slop
You cant search or change language
Idk what is the goal here, but maybe some analysis with graph would be better, like who has the most territory or something like that? You also might need to disclosure how you got this data

Agreed! The problem is that some 'seniors' never cared to learn patterns in the first place. That’s a huge problem for frontend, where we have increasingly complex architectures and people with very little experience with design.
Even some principles aren't known. I always recommend the book Head First: Design Patterns. It's in Java, but the lessons can be applied in every language.
Unfortunately, we are in a 'post-knowledge' era... I don't know how we can keep things up at this pace.

Svgs, date management, Http, so many simpler things we dont have solve and somehow people believe they will do it by putting enough money in LLMs when it cant count
Why some people understood when they tried it with blockchain, nfts, web3, AR, ... any good engineer should know principle of energy efficiency instead of having faith in the Infinite monkey theorem

The useRef pattern seem like a code smell, maybe because I had some troubles with refs over the years.
Things were simpler when we had lifecycle methods to manage some of this things. But I`m sure that the next version of react will change everything and make us come up with more patters to try to fix the same problem again...

The thing I have seem in performance is people trying to shave ms loading a page, while they fetch several mbs and do complex operations in the FE, when in the reality writing a BFF, improving the architecture and leaner APIs would be a more productive solution.
We tried to do that with GraphQL, http2,... And arguably failed. Until we can properly evolve web standards we won't be able to fix the main issue. Novel frameworks won't do it either
