I think you're all fucking crazy. Or maybe I am?

I can literally see my teams codebase becoming an unmaintainable nightmare in front of my eyes each day.

I use copilot and Claude code and I frequently have to throw away their massively verbose and ridiculously complex code and engage my withering brain to come up with the correct solution that is 80% less code.

I probably get to the solution in the same time when all is said and done.

Honestly what is going on. What are we doing here?

What were NHS execs thinking signing a contract with palantir?

Either they are completely ignorant about what palantir is and who it's owned by (would be very concerning) or they are corrupt and were bribed.

To be clear I think AI coding agents are massively over hyped and turn code bases into unmaintainable buggy messes... I hate them.

But "leadership" everywhere has AI psychosis and at my company I expect I'd eventually be let go if I refused to use it.

Agreed. I don't know whether to call it hypocrisy, delusion, bullshit, etc, but it is reidiculous that when Iran fights back the media and politicians act as if Iran started all this.

Example: the UK got a pat on the back for initially saying no to the US using their territory to launch bombing raids, and then later allowed it for "defensive" missions.

"Defensive"!?!

I see the slowness and now the news that they might remove the assistant for the $10 plans as evidence of how costly it is to run LLMs and by extension how unsustainable it must be for OpenAi, anthropic, Microsoft etc to be offering such performance for free or very low prices. Surely something has to give soon.
