If you're on mobile you need to tap and swipe to cast then tap the screen once the indicator lands within the golden ring.

Same on desktop, expect click and hold to cast and space/click once the indicator aligns.

I've had some people have trouble with this, it seems like I should make this more intuitive.

A clone right even down to the name!

Needed a break from the job hunt, so naturally I decided to spend an afternoon building a site to simulate the job hunt. I'll be the first to admit that this one's pretty on the nose - but I wanted to share as I know I'm not the only one having a hard time in this job market.

That's all, this is just a fun little site to soothe my hacker soul - no real reason to exist. Keep on keeping on.

I've been spending a lot of time in México over the last year and have been working on a photography project surrounding the VW Beetles (Vochos as they call them) you'll find all over the country. I'm inspired by the range of character of the Vochos and how they've become ingrained in the country's cultural landscape.

I realized I had a sort of hyper-niche problem where I was locating Vochos I'd like to shoot when I wasn't carrying my camera. I was getting annoyed with using Google Maps to list locations I'd like to return and shoot so I spent a weekend putting the app together and turning it into a game.

After using the app for a few weeks I've realized the spotting or hunting of the cars is the part I enjoy the most about my project and when I have the time I'd like to publicize it so others who find themselves in Vocho dense area can check it out if they'd like!

I am getting ready to start searching for a new position and am wanting to move from a hybrid position to fully remote to offer some flexibility with familial obligations but but I'm not entirely sure whether or not that's a realistic goal in this job environment.

Recently I've seeing some sentiment that suggests the job hunt process for us in tech has been improving, and that recruiters are starting to reach out more often than in the last year. If you've recently switched positions, what was your experience like and do you have any advice for those who are currently looking to change positions? For those that have gone remote, any specific insights?

You may have been lucky because a recruiter has reached out to you for a role which you would fit well in, but that's because you've made a conscious effort in dedicating time your craft and to advertising your capabilities.

Luck (or the lack of) is nearly never the sole factor in your successes or your failures.
