You lose energy converting the the gas power to electrical power to mechanical power. Constant RPM doesn’t matter as much as you think.

Hire a CISO and let them build a team empowered to improve your security. Don't depend on a decentralized approach. The most important aspect in my opinion is locking down permissions so that no one has access to everything and each team only has access to the components they need access to. Then one hack doesn't take down the whole company.

Does Eyesight beep at you frequently? My 2020 Outback beeps every time it can't see the lanes, which is about once a mile where I live. I'll probably never by another Subaru because of that issue alone.

Yes, this is why all discussion about "safeguards" is maddening to me. They are simply committing crimes, and people should go to jail. I guarantee that OpenAI will stop worrying about "alignment" when people simply go to jail for hacking and theft.

It's the same with "The Village" when deciding not to have kids. Everyone is allowed to move back to their hometown, or ask family to move closer. It's not always simple to do, but it's a choice people make not to.

Too many people sure, but it’s doomerism to say third places are “dead”. Bar trivia is still packed, there are still pickup games in the park, and your local library still needs volunteers. I think this online attitude probably causes some people to not even look for third places in the first place.

You should research economics. That $9000 can build a house that wouldn’t have existed otherwise. Then it gets paid back. $10000 in the bank and a $9000 house.

My favorite is a notebook and pen. I tried all ways to write notes digitally and it only adds stress and friction for me. No batteries to charge, no files to backup, no bluetooth to sync.

Private banks increase money supply by lending. If 10 people deposit $1000 in a bank, it can loan $9000 to an 11th person. Now the economy has $19000 total.

That's not my claim.

Republicans just took a vocal public oath of loyalty to their President in which they promised to cheat in the the election. That happened. It's on video.

My claim is that you should vote for the other party. That sounds reasonable to me.

I voted in the primary against the incumbent. The incumbent won. I will vote for them because the Republican opponent is a documented sexual predator. That is literally true.

These are the "two sides" we are dealing with.

You're not wrong, but you are muddying the waters. The sides are clear and bringing up primaries when it's too late is irrelevant.

There is no reason to think this is true. I will eat a gas generator if a Democrat president orders his EPA administrator to break established rules and precedent like the current one is doing.

The only thing that matters is Democrats gaining control of Congress and state governments. The choice that isn't a democrat is the wrong one. The time to vote out an incumbent was the primary.
