Next time someone says both sides are the same, remind them about this.
Democrats brought suit against an obvious monopoly over the most unifying and joyful aspect of human existence (Music), and Republicans scuttled it so brazenly, you have to assume that Trump was bribed.

You actually want to ban bet maximums. Regular people get destroyed making small stupid bets on nonsense like freethrows for benchwarmers. Apps only offer those because they put a low max bet so they have little risk on a wager that is impossible to price accurately. If they couldn’t set such a low max then they couldn’t offer those nonsense wagers.

Something interesting about my experience with the Iraq War was that, as a 9 year old living in DC at a wealthy, liberal private school, everyone knew from the beginning it was all a lie. I only learned fairly recently that a vast majority of the country thought invading Iraq was a good idea.

The problem is that they don’t pay their fair share. Farms get insanely low rates and grow things like alfalfa that doesn’t even feed people but requires an insane amount of water.
Las Vegas recycles almost 100% of its indoor water usage and minimizes outdoor usage. They pay you to remove your lawn and almost all of them are gone.

I think a lot of people (especially people who like to post online) like to assume that jobs that aren't theirs are not complicated. I'm an engineer, and I don't know how to coordinate multiple groups of people to produce a product design. And, having worked with AI extensively, I would not trust an AI to handle all of that for me if any money were on the line.

To me, that sounds like you can more efficiently do the boring parts and focus on the complex parts.
I don't see AI on track to manage politics in any way shape or form. It is far too easily manipulated.
Do you have this fear because of actual things you observe at your job, or because of online discourse? I read about this attitude online all the time, but it doesn't make any sense to me personally.
