Realizing you can’t know everything, don’t know what you don’t know, and respecting other people can have had different experiences than you. All without judging yourself negatively for those realizations. They just are facts. No need to be hard on yourself if you put in sincere effort.
Take all criticism as a learning opportunity.

It does sound like projection. Your link comes down to depiction of “a minor”. How does one prove an image is an 18 year old, even if they are, and not 1 day younger? It’s unquestionable for children but not so clear near the age of 18. I think that is the point of the poster, that it’s really not clear on all porn what age the people are. Even with disclaimers they could be lies.

Everyone fails sometimes. Take every failure as a learning experience. Taking it personally and feeling emotions doesn’t actually help the problem - that you made a mistake and need to just learn and move on. Focus on the future, on the problem, on now, not the past. If however you make a mistake and get defensive and don’t learn anything then yeah it’s only a toxic thing on you. Learning from it helps you grow.
Masters of subjects don’t learn overnight. They learn over years, decades, a lifetime. In that time they make countless mistakes. But they persevere and don’t let it affect them emotionally and they grow into those masters.
I make mistakes daily. I’ve thrown away hundreds of thousands of lines of code in my career because it didn’t work as expected. But each time I grew a little and learned something to make the next iteration better.

Well, FreeBSD 11 https://pkg.freebsd.org/FreeBSD:11:amd64/ packages are still available. The ports tree itself cannot build packages for 11 anymore though.
I do agree that FreeBSD tends to delete stuff the second that it goes EOL. The ports project is the worst violator of this. The ports tree takes manpower to maintain and keep building. The mirrors for packages use very large donated systems and bandwidth (AFAIK) and don't have as much pressure to delete old packages.

I consider myself fairly liberal but I have to say that the progressive movement has been far too focused on identity/social justice politics and not on things that will really impact and help the community. I'm left with no party that I think has it right. If anything I want a return to some moderate rational politics. Both sides just keep getting more and more extreme and shifting their policies to canceling each other and things they don't like without listening or trying to understand each other. I'm scared for where we are going.
I mean Seattle is "progressive" but we let all these homeless people live on the streets! If we are so progressive then why do we not provide and force them into housing (or mental wards or anything)? Why do we not have an income tax?! This state makes no sense but I am stuck here because my kids are in high school.

Say you install FreeBSD 12.1, you can keep your package system using the 12.1 package set forever. No updates will be available. But they'll always work.
In /etc/pkg/FreeBSD.conf you will find something like this:
> url: "pkg+http://pkg.FreeBSD.org/${ABI}/quarterly",
Assuming using amd64 that maps to:
https://pkg.freebsd.org/FreeBSD:12:amd64/
There you can see there are "release_X" sets that map to 12.0 12.1 12.2 12.3. Again, no updates will ever be published on those but they will be guaranteed to continue working so long as they don't get deleted.
The FreeBSD community just doesn't have the manpower (of volunteers) or willpower to maintain what you're asking for.

> I had just seen with a common assumption that flies are nothing more than robotic automatons, with no experience, no awareness.
Think very long and hard and you might agree you fall into that (minus the "no awareness"). Cannabis is a trigger for me to think about this stuff as I can just relax and get stuck in my head and deeply think about things. At least for me through extra free time during Covid lockdowns I've come to believe I have no free will. Through daily interaction with my family I've come to believe we are automatons too. People you know very well are very predictable because their "code" doesn't change very fast, especially with the lack of new experiences. Which made me remember that's how I used to view all other animals and creatures. It's given me a new appreciation for other animals/life.
Seriously how often do you wonder why you just remembered, said or did something? You aren't going to choose to think of that time in 4th grade you did something stupid unless something prompts you to think of it. Cause and effect. We are trained by all of our experiences to behave and respond in certain ways when certain events happen. When someone says "hello" you might say "hello" back because you've been trained to do it. This goes all the way down to everything we do. It's the reason learning involves so much repetition. Everything is conditioning.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Split-brain and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blindsight are fascinating reads about people not being aware of something they obviously should be aware of.
What is awareness but simply processing of our inputs/senses?
What even is consciousnesses then?
And yeah our brains are far more intelligent than other life forms giving us far more abilities and abstract thought, etc. As another comment mentioned though that's not a consciousness thing. We give ourselves far too much credit.
