That's really neat! It's interesting the ways play interacts with how we learn about the world. Sometimes the best learning is the most fun!

Oof yea I just got surprised by this at a vet appointment for my dog, weirded me out. I just went along with it to get the visit over with and I can see the benefit of having an accurate record of the visit, but we'll have to come to terms to the reality of this invasive surveillance as a society at some point I imagine.

I made a bunch of mobile games with Unity that worked as a porfolio for Unity Development jobs. I had been wanting to transition into more traditional software development, and I was fortunate enough to be able to learn a front end stack at my previous job. I made this project over nights and weekends, and it was a significant factor in me getting my current job doing react development:
https://bitmelo.com
My best advice would be to try to make projects that are undeniably good. So good a company would be dumb not to hire you. Def easier said then done though.

It's absolutely possible. I have an art degree and what I have found to be important is to have some impressive personal projects to show employers. Maybe not all of them will look at your portfolio but enough do that you should be able to get a job if it's good.
Falling in love with programming has been very fortunate for me because it is one of the few professions where you can show your skills with a portfolio instead of a piece of paper, and it pays pretty well

Hey y'all I just launched Bitmelo, game editor to build pixel art games with Javascript. You can code, draw tiles and tilemaps, design sound effects, view the documentation, and playtest your game, all without having to break focus by switching applications.
It works in your browser, but there's also a windows version available: https://davidbyers.itch.io/bitmelo
I built it in react, and you can check out the source code here: https://github.com/byersdz/bitmelo-editor
Bitmelo was born from my desire to have the most friction free game development experience possible. It's heavily inspired by fantasy consoles such as Pico 8 and Tic 80, however while I love the simple nature of their API's I wanted to have a development experience that wasn't constrained by the same limitations as the games you make in them.

Parents can buy whatever they want for their kids, I said nothing about banning consumption. Milk would be fine, however most juices and chocolate milk are pretty bad for you.

God I hope so. I grew up obese and am now about halfway through undoing the damage using a ketogenic diet. I really do think sugar sweetened drinks should be banned for sale to children under 18, as that causes the most damage.
