As you denindustrialize, your normal working class population rebells - demanding its lifestyle to remain untouched- thus subsidized by the state. So the state either prints money costing the world (us-model) or it prints money- costing the future. As this happens and future generations get poorer- the idea to lend from foreign "investors" which then take over your country becomes the default solution - until you are a debt colony, owned by those lending you money.

And thats not how good renewables are- thats how deindustrialized britain has become. And deindustrialization leads to debt slavery - and debt slavery either leads to passing on that bitter chalice to others (empire) or to becoming a colony.

Well, you goto be good nowadays, you compete against the whole worlds dreamy eyed teeangers wanting to make "their"game. A wellfunded, pig-trough-slop-mill ala hollywood can not compete against that when it comes to fun, art and experiences. They fled into gambling, but gamers actively ostracize lootboxers nowadays.

I have heard so many of these thunderous, self-assured statements. Russia can not loose, the caliphate of allah can not be defeated, the third reich will last a thousand years, the empire of japan will prevail. The USSR is superior, produces more of everything and better- the landscapes beyond the iron curtain are blooming. History books are filled to the brim with them.
And then the the bells tongue hits the bell- and reality comes crawling back, while the same empty statements ring on and on, ever more hollow. Words are cheap and posters are easy. But reality to make itself heard.
If the underlying problem, that caused the century of humiliation has not been fixed, it can happen again. China needs the world more, than the world needs china. If manufacturing can not be exported, it goes elsewhere in a hurry. Vietnam, India, Brazil, the world is filled with countries, that will happily shoulder what china does now.
The british empire comes to mind. Could it win a war against germany? Yes and yes. Was it a phyric victory, that ultimately rang in the end of the old empires. Also yes. War can be a game that has only loosers, the only winning move is not to play.

I use AI not for what the various fraudsters hype it for. It utterly fails coding what i want each time. But it is a great tool to create things and not be censored/hindered by collaboration with humans. It liberates the lone nutters of the world to make music, create movies, do things, which society desperately tried to stop them from. Just because new things are frightening and money shies away from risk like the devil from holy water. Look at all those sequels. Each sequel in existence murdered a dozen artists hopes to create something new.
A ton of it is garbage. But 1/1000 gets to realize a vision, that could never be marketed, never be discovered and is something new entirely. For that i love it and thank those who made it..

The problem is that the Oslo world is deeply encoded into the DNA of the European union and its elites. The very goal of "restoring" the old world is what they have in mind. The moment that goal seems to even just return as a hallucination, they will drop all of these initiatives and defect. Everyone knows, so nobody even tries to get something real built.
With the university who trained these politicians, with the institutions who shaped them, with these politicians who created this multi-crisis - believing everyone out there was invested in a stable world as they were- a independent Europe is not possible. They just have to much hackable surface, to much API, they will crawl before any hacker offering them a way "back out" with the decades to come.

Islamic societies seem to be unable to form stable institutions. The recipe seems to be unable to synthesize this, no matter how many ressources are available and how benign the conditions. As a result the biggest formable state-institution remains the family clan and the family clan just does not cut it in preventing civil war. At best you get a clan-coalition masquerading as a military government with some democratic pets - at worst you get libya. But i guess after 52 countries, the results are in and the fact that other - non western powers are colonizing islamic countries now (china, russia) and everyone is scrambling for nukes post trump - the displayed weaknesses could end the region.

Yes, a whole paradigma and the politicians who grew up on the failed soil of a "utopia" around the corner, ignoring all the signs, should step back into the void of history instead of rotting away in office, hopeing in every sentence that the "good times" will return any minute now. They are clearly unfit to handle reality or even percieve it.
